How to Use This Guide

The purpose of this guide is to provide resources for students doing research in the doctrine of Scripture.

  • The first page (Dictionaries/Encyclopedias) provides tertiary sources that will introduce the student to the doctrine of Scripture.
  • The second page consists of systematic theologies from a variety of theological viewpoints which can give a succinct introduction to the doctrine of Scripture from several different viewpoints. 
  • The third page consists of some books devoted exclusively to the doctrine of Revelation and the doctrine of Scripture, as well as some books of collected essays on the topic of the doctrine of Scripture.
  • The fourth page is a collection of historical-theological works on the doctrine of Scripture.
  • The fifth through eighth pages are works dedicated to some of the subcategories of the doctrine of Scripture.
  • The ninth and last page provides links to some journals, both online and in print, that have articles concerning the doctrine of Scripture.
