Abstract: This collection contains two boxes of photocopied material related to the ministry of Cyrus Ingerson Scofield.

Biographical Note: Cyrus Ingerson Scofield (1843-1921) was a pastor and Bible teacher who was influential in the development of dispensational premillennialism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Scofield served as a pastor in Missouri, Texas, and Massachusetts and was a regular speaker at Bible conferences throughout the United States. In 1909, Oxford University Press published Scofield’s most popular work, the Scofield Reference Bible which help popularize his views.

Scope and Contents: This collection contains photocopies of material related to Scofield’s pastoral ministry as well as personal correspondence. This material shows Scofield’s approach to studying and teaching the Bible as well as his understanding of dispensational premillennialism.
