Biographical Note: Zig Ziglar (1926-2012) was an author, businessman, and motivational speaker. He was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas where he taught Sunday School for nearly two decades. In 1985, he was elected and the First Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention and served in that position for one year.

Scope and Contents: Material in this collection is related to Zig Ziglar and his election as first vice-president of the Southern Baptist Convention. It also includes files addressing charges of liberalism at Baylor University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
